Replacing the Battery in the Nexkey Core

Battery can be changed with the Core installed

Before getting started, you will need:

Torx T6 screwdriver



(1) ER14250 1/2 AA battery

   

Instructions

  1. Remove security screw from the Core handle

  1. Slide off handle (may be harder if O-rings are installed)
  2. Gently pull back retaining ring
  3. Slide old battery out and install new battery with the (+) face-down into the Core
  4. Reinstall retaining ring, ensure the screw holes align, slide on handle then reinstall security screw

  1. LED will turn on when handle is reinstalled. Once it turns off tap, the front to connect to your phone


Update Last Battery Change Setting  in the Nexkey App or Portal


 

By performing this step, Nexkey will send a email when it's time to replace the battery again.
  1. Select Keys tab
  2. Select the lock you just changed the battery in
  3. Select Settings and scroll down to the bottom
  4. Select Last Battery Change
  5. Select date of battery change
