How to Transfer Ownership of a Nexkey Device

The Transfer Ownership feature allows the current owner of a Nexkey device to assign ownership to another user.

Before You Begin

Make sure:

  1. You are currently listed as the owner of the Nexkey device
  2. The new owner already has a Nexkey account with admin access to your device

How to Transfer Ownership

  1. Open the Nexkey App
  2. Navigate to the KEYS tab and select your Nexkey device
  3. Tap SETTINGS
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and tap TRANSFER OWNERSHIP
  5. Select the new owner from the list that appears

What Changes After the Transfer?

After the transfer is completed, the previous owner becomes an ADMIN.

I don't see the Transfer Ownership option

Verify that you are the current owner of the Nexkey device. Go to KEYS and look at your permission level next to the Nexkey device.
